David Jacobowitz sends this message about a cool upcoming talk:
This Wednesday the Department of Computer Science is hosting a lecture in which Professor Rajiv Gandhi of Rutgers Camden will speak on his experiences teaching. This professor has one several awards for teaching excellence, as well as a Fullbright Scholarship to teach at VJTI in Mumbai. He has additionally taught a class at Penn and runs a summer program for high schoolers in computer science, in which ordinary high schoolers have the opportunity to learn grad-level topics.
He is an incredibly inspirational speaker; the last time I went to one of his lectures many students in the back (college seniors) mentioned that it was one of the best lectures they had received.
I highly urge everyone to come, especially those interested in COS, math, teaching, academia, or simply learning advice.
