Come have cupcakes this Thursday, the 13th from 4:45 to 5:45 in the CS Tea Room with Tamara Broderick (’07)
Tamara was a Princeton Math major, but she studied CS here and has a Masters in CS from UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate student, she was one of the designers of the Atomic Nature of Matter assignment we currently use as the final project in COS126. Here is the link for her current website at UC Berkeley where she is a PhD candidate.
She is giving a talk for the CS Dept. Colloquium Series as well on Wednesday, the 12th from 4:30 – 5:30 pm in the CS small auditorium titled “Feature Allocations, Paintbrushes, and Probability Functions.”
We encourage all of you to attend the talk and to please drop by for our first meet-and-greet of the semester! We will have dessert (cupcakes) with Tamara and learn more about her work and experiences.
